Celebrating 100 Giveaway

It's a happy day....this weekend marks the release of my 100th design (not including magazine and teaching pieces); I am so proud to be a part of the needlework community and I truly thank all the supporters and fans of Blue Ribbon Designs...you keep me encouraged, enlightened, and inspired! To mark this big release milestone, I have decided to host a new giveaway...it is just a little way to say thank you for keeping my dream of Blue Ribbon Designs alive and thriving.

This time, I will be giving away copies of my brand new 100th design titled "Holiday Helpings" (a stitch starter ruler and holiday sleeve designs)...you will get the chart and the ruler...and never fear, if you have already pre-ordered this design, you may choose to receive "Blessed Beyond Measure" (the original starter design with ruler) in it's place.

How to enter:
Simply leave one comment (to this posting) telling me your favorite Blue Ribbon Design and why - for example: it could be the verse, or the colors, or a personal meaning behind the motifs - just tell me a little bit about why it is special to you. Make certain you leave an email address in your comment or it must be visible in your profile - entries without a valid email will be not be eligible...and if you enter anonymously, please also include your first name so I have a way of identifying you, should you win. Please leave only one comment - multiple comments will be deleted/disqualified.

I will choose one recipient for every 50 entries (comments) received....so the more entries, the more winners! For example, if there are 101 entries - I will pick two recipients....if there are 260 entries, I will pick five recipients. Feel free to tell your friends and have them join in on the fun!

The deadline to enter will be 11:59 pm CST, Friday, February 25th. Recipients will be chosen by random draw and posted on my blog on Saturday, February 26th. I will contact the recipients via email - you will have 48 hours to respond, if I do not hear from you in that time, I will choose a replacement recipient. So, there you have it....all the "details" - good luck to each and every one of you...and again, thank you supporting Blue Ribbon Designs - I hope to bring you quality designs for years to come...

  1. Which one? Are you kidding? I love so many of them. Peppermint Twist is a favorite of mine and it hangs in the Christmas room all year round. I like the balance of the design. So many little parts that come together to give a taste of all the good things for the season.

  2. One of my favorites is the teaching piece you designed for NH last year. My husband and I love Shaker things and have visited a few of the historical sites. I only hope that you will be able to release it one day as I was not able to attend the retreat.

    Thanks for the chance!

  3. Oh, I have so many favourites but I guess I'd have to say Autumn Leaves and Sunflower Seeds. Autumn is my favourite season and this design contains everything I love about fall. I also love how you can pick just one of the motifs and create a pinkeep, fob, or pillow. You get to revisit your favourites over and over again!

Please enter me into your draw. I love your designs and congratulate you on your 100th. Keep them coming!

  4. I'm a sucker for great Halloween designs. I just love 'Afraid of the Dark' with that spooky gray house.

Thanks so much for the contest and congrats on your 100 design milestone!

  5. I like quite a few of your designs but if I have to pick a favorite, it would be My Precious Treasures. I am very fond of Peacocks. Congrats!

  6. My favourite design is 'Black Cats and Flying Bats'. I fell in love with it on first sight. I'm a sucker for Halloween designs. I think part of the attraction was just trying to find *someone* that had a copy for sale. It took me a year of searching before I finally gave in and ordered it from an on-line store.

I love what it says around the outside edge - On All Hallows Eve Under A Moonlit Sky, The Witches, Bats and Ghosts Learn to Fly... - and the individual motifs too!

Congrats on making it to 100 designs. That's quite an accomplishment!

  7. Congrats on your 100th - I can't wait to see what up ahead :0)

Schoolgirl Samplings is my fav to date - not only a sampler but a beautiful box to stitch & fill with even more littles that can be made from the sampler motifs.

  8. Just one? That's not fair ;o) I would have to say With All Your Heart. I love making Biscornus and plus I'm a breast cancer survivor :o)

Congratulations on publishing that many patterns. That's definitely something to celebrate!

    Thanks Belinda :o)

  9. Congrats on your 100th!!! If I had to choose just one (which is impossible), I'd have to say 6 Bats & A Witches Hat, because I have it done & framed, just waiting for October to get here again. But then, I have Afraid of the Dark patiently waiting for its turn, and then IT might be my favorite. Narrowing it down to just one? Can't do it :)

I wish you many years of designing, and hope to see your 300th design and more :)

  23. Congratulations on your 100th design! To pick one of my favorites of yours is so hard, but I'll have to go with "Countdown to Christmas". Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year, and my mom always had an advent calendar that spelled out "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" once all the numbers were turned over. I plan on making "Countdown to Christmas" a staple in my house for the Christmas season!

  31. WOW! Congratulations on your 100 designs.
I've had a good look at all your designs and for me it has to be the "School Girl Samplings". I love the old style samplers and Owls is another favourite of mine. It also has the joy of the countryside with the trees and squirrels and birds, something to remind me of my childhood. I also love the sea in the four corners of the design and in the inside of the box. The colours are just perfect. It would be a joy to stitch.

Okay...I choose "Blessed are those who gather here" (although tomorrow it could be something else)! I love the verse, the house, the sheep! I stitched this as a SAL with a group of friends and loved every stitch of it.

But pick a favorite? Ooh, that's hard. But I think it would have to be all the smalls that can be made from your designs - such as Afraid of the Dark (you very kindly included my Trick or Treat in your Gallery), Winter White Wonderland, and Autumn Leaves and Sunflower Seeds. 65. Belinda, this is as bad as picking your favorite child!! It's a tough call, but I think I'd have to say my favorite is a tie between: Pocketful of Peppermints which was the teaching piece at Stitcher's Hideaway where I met you; Creepy Crawly which (witch??) is just a cool Halloween piece that I love; and With All Your Heart which is a piece that has so much significance to me. It was the first of your designs I ever stitched, and I did it in honor of my best friend whom I'd just lost to breast cancer the prior year. Every time I see the piece I think of her, and of you, and smile. Your designs just "speak" to me, - I have a pretty good collection of them! Keep up the wonderfully creative work! ~Ruth
