  2. I'd love to win these! My favourite Christmas theme is anything traditional, Christmas is usually cold at home in the UK, perfect for mulled wine and mince pies, real christmas trees, stockings and fairy lights and everything decked in red, green and gold. Presents have to be wrapped in a co-ordinated fashion. Last year we used old fashioned brown paper with assorted real fabric ribbons in Christmas colours :)

  3. Thanks so much for the chance to win these!

Of course I've stitched my share of Christmas ornaments over the past 25 years, but I am really loving how Halloween ornaments are sort of "coming into their own" these days. I really love working with autumn colors, and especially love any design with black cats in it, since I've had four! :)

  6. What a wonderful give-a-way! I love to stitch ornaments and usually give them to each of my husbands brothers, sister and now to the nieces and nephews who have homes of their own. Each family gets one per family. I love doing them. Now I cross stitch a hand towel for my mother-in-law since she no longer has a tree. I love ornaments with traditional or primitive designs. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

My favourite memory of Christmas is the one about four years ago when my granddaughter saw the Christmas tree for the very first time, the amazement on her face was wonderful and it brought back so many memories of when my own three daughters were that age.....priceless!!

  21. It is hard to narrow it down to one memory but I would say the excitement my brothers and I had every year when mom decorated the house. Mom decorated the most amazing Christmas trees and she always had the most unusual and amazing lighted wreaths for the front door. I think it is why my brothers and I go all out decorating for Christmas to this day.

  22. I love stitching Xmas things, in particular snowmen. This is much to the amusement of my family as we don't have snow at Christmas here in New Zealand, but a girl can always hope.

  24. Wow! I would love to be entered into your giveaway. It is so hard to give you a favorite memory of Christmas time. I remember years of finishing cross stitch projects well into the wee morning hours of Christmas. And then last year was great with just stitching a bunch of ornaments. As for favorite themes, I have noticed that things seem to be changing. I do love the forest animals and snowmen and such but also some of the Prmitive type seem to be catching my fancy more and more. Thank you for having this giveaway!! nrubendall@gmail.com

  25. What a thoughtful giveaway; thanks for the chance! I'm not much of a Santa fan, but I have snowmen of every type imaginable around our home at Christmas. And the lights - I love the earlier sunsets so I can get all the little bulbs sparkling. calamityjr@sbcglobal.net

  27. I so want to win! An interesting Christmas tidbit from our family: When each of the four of us kids were born, my mother re-decorated the tree that year with ornaments for that specific child. The tree ornaments were then put away. As we got married and had our first Christmas', we were presented with a package of the ornaments used on our very first tree for our very first tree as newlyweds. Being born in Germany (an Army brat), mine were all gorgeous German ornaments. Each year when I decorate, I put those on first and now add the many new ones. Sweet treasured idea.

  33. Hi. Great giveaway! I have a snowman theme at Christmas. We have several. Some are on the tree as ornaments, and we have larger ones that appear throughout the house. My library board found out I liked snowmen, so I often receive one as a gift from them at Christmas.

  34. Christmas was always a big deal in our house. The whole house was decorated, and we had 4 live trees - 3 inside and one outside. The outside one was just decorated with large multicolored bulbs which always looked beautiful in the Buffalo snow. Inside, the living room tree had the fancier (more adult) ornaments, the family room tree had all my sister's and my ornaments (those we had made through the years and those we collected), and the other indoor tree was Mom's favorite - blue lights with silver and white ornaments. Mom passed away on Christmas Day in 1982, but we still put her tree up every year as a wonderful memory of her love for the holiday season.

  35. Thank you for the Christmas in July giveaway. I love so many Christmas motifs but I guess I must say that I like the nature motifs, expecially reindeer. I really like reindeer. I stitched a Christmas sampler in pink and turquoise blue and white snow and it turned out very pretty. So, I am going to try for those colors this year as a change of scenery so to speak.

  36. Terrific giveaway! My holiday decorating favorite is my "dogs" tree - have a large Christmas tree which is entirely decorated with dog themed ornaments...handmade, cross stitched, and commercial bought pieces. Plus garlands made of wooden dog biscuit shaped pieces. Love it.

  37. What a lovely giveaway! I would love to be included. I'll do a memory/tradition. When I was younger and living up in Prince George, my Dad and I would go every year to somewhere really remote to hunt for our Christmas tree. We would pack the snowmobile and set off in the truck and drive to the middle of nowhere then snowmobile around looking for the perfect tree, which I picked of course! One year, as the snow blanketed us in quiet, we heard a lone wolf howl. We looked around us and saw a wolf come out of the forest and onto the old logging road. He looked at us then sauntered off down the middle of the road. He was majestic and so beautiful. Right after that, I spotted our tree. I think the wolf helped us find the perfect tree. I will always remember that tree and wolf. It was a very magical Christmas!!

All your new projects for your Etsy site are lovely. I am tempted but I sew and mostly make my own pincushions, pouches etc. I've made several of the Schnibbles pincushions - they are addictive! I'm still pondering a few of your other items though! A girl can never have too many accessories LOL.

  42. Oh, my, would I love to have all these issues. There is no longer a store carrying anything cross stitch in my town. As to Christmas, I am eclectic. I love to stitch ornaments. The theme is on the memories they make us recall. My favorite memory is the first ornament put on the tree - an poor old Santa (blue trousers, porcelain face)that was old when my mother was little -- and I am 70. :)

My favorite memory is putting up a live tree with the big bulb lights with my grandparents. When we were done my Papa would put this stuff onto the flames in the fireplace that would make the flames all different colors. Then off to bed so Santa could come! I still do the tree with the big bulbs .... no fire though...at least for now.

  52. What a great Giveaway! I'm so glad I'm playing blog catch-up this evening.
My best Christmasses have all been since my son was born and we can revisit all the traditions from my childhood. Christmas without children just isn't the same.
I collect new ornaments and decorations every year, all in red, silver, gold and green so my tree co-ordinates.
