Today, I'm excited to share my latest project that is featured on the Therm O Web blog. If you love beautiful fabrics, practical sewing accessories, and a touch of sparkle, you're going to love this nature-inspired version of my Sweet Sewing Book pattern.
For this project, I paired my Sweet Sewing Book pattern with the gorgeous new Boho Batiks collection by Jennifer Long of Sew A Story for Riley Blake Designs. Filled with softly textured batiks featuring butterflies, flowers, hearts, and stars, the collection has a peaceful, organic feel that immediately captured my attention. The palette of muted blues, warm plums, soft corals, and creamy neutrals creates a calming blend of colors that feels right at home in any creative space.
Just a note: Fabric for this project was gifted to me through Sew A Story and Riley Blake Designs.
The Sweet Sewing Book is one of my favorite projects because it combines beauty and function. Designed to keep sewing essentials organized and easily accessible, it offers plenty of opportunities to showcase favorite fabrics while creating something you'll use again and again. For this version, I added a bit of sparkle using Jennifer Long's Sew A Story Sparkle Paste to highlight the delicate butterfly motifs inside the book. The subtle shimmer catches the light beautifully and adds just the right amount of dimension without distracting from the soft, nature-inspired fabrics.
