Today, I’m absolutely thrilled to share several special pieces I created using the brand-new Flower Market Collection by the incredibly talented Elea Lutz for Poppie Cotton. As soon as I saw these stunning floral prints, I couldn’t wait to put on my quilt designer hat and dive right in!

🌸 About the Collection

Shipping to quilt shops this month, the Flower Market Collection is a fresh and fragrant line filled with gorgeous floral motifs—think roses, daisies, forget-me-nots, and tiny scattered petals—all wrapped in a vibrant palette of reds, greens, blues, pinks, yellows, and whites. ✨

It’s the perfect blend of cheerful vintage and heartwarming charm, and I had so much fun bringing these prints to life! 💐

✨ Project 1: Rosebud Manor Wall Hanging

First up is my original Rosebud Manor Wall Hanging, a Blue Ribbon Design pattern available in my Etsy Shop (digital or paper format). It measures 28½” W x 28½” H, and the size is easily adaptable.

This beginner-friendly appliqué project features most of the fabrics in the Flower Market collection—a beautiful way to showcase the prints!

• The center "manor" block is machine appliqué with added fussy-cut rose bushes.
• I used a clay flower button from Puntini Puntini for the doorknob.
• Rick rack inserted around the perimeter of the center block.
• The surrounding economy blocks are foundation pieced using StitchnSew EZ Print Foundation Piecing Stabilizer from Therm O Web.
• The binding, center background, and some house details are all Country Confetti prints.

✨ Project 2: Patchwork Project Bag

Next, I created a large patchwork project bag—no pattern, just pure creativity! 🪡

• It measures 10” x 13”, with each square finishing at 2½”.
• The top row features fussy-cut roses from the Hand Picked print—one in each colorway.
• Sashing is Country Confetti in Marshmallow New White
• I used red gingham ribbon for the pull, adding a sweet vintage touch.

✨ Project 3: Pincushion with Scissor Tie

And because I couldn’t resist, I made a sweet pin pillow with wool felt embellishment and a scissor tie—again, no pattern, just creativity. ✂️

• It measures 6” x 6” and features a red gingham ribbon tie to hold scissors.
• I added a hand-stitched 100% wool felt flower made from Bellwether Felt by Benzie Design.
• Red rick rack inserted around the perimeter.

Rosebud Manor Small Quilt

Greetings friends! It's NEW pattern day...so let's talk about Rosebud Manor. I had so much fun designing a creating my new pattern "Rosebud Manor" - a small quilt perfect for a wall hanging or table topper. This mini quilt has foundation pieced quilt blocks around the perimeter and a machine appliqué block in the center.

Rosebud Manor measures 28.5" x 28.5" and is great for showing off a favorite fabric collection. The simple foundation pieced quilt blocks around the perimeter lend themselves to fussy cut centers - putting a spotlight on a favorite print. The center machine appliqué block uses a touch of rick rack for embellishment and a tiny 1/4" button for the doorknob.

For the model, I used HeatnBond Lite Iron-On Adhesive for the fusible web and I used HeatnBond Fusible Fleece instead of batting (choose your favorite!). I added two little ribbon hanging tabs for a wrought iron hanger, but your could add corner pockets or a sleeve for hanging.

I used gorgeous fabric prints from the Elise collection by Terri Henson for Poppie Cotton - this fabric collection is brand new and is shipping to quilt shops in June. The background and binding are Country Confetti - this basic collection is also from Poppie Cotton.

The pattern is extremely detailed with foundation blocks provided I even include instructions for foundation piecing and machine appliqué. The pattern is 27 pages and full of color images and photos for every step. You can find it in both paper and/or digital format in my Etsy Shop.

Sparkling Sunflowers Mini Quilt

Greetings friends! It is new project tutorial day - time to share my October project created for the Therm O Web blog with you. I always enjoy putting on my Fabric Education Designer hat and creating new projects/tutorials to share with you. For the month of October, the blog is focused on last-minute Halloween projects, holiday gifts, and fall decor. I created a brand new project that was posted yesterday - it is a complete project tutorial for my Sparkling Sunflowers Mini Quilt. My comprehensive tutorial contains a complete supply list, printable pattern with appliqué templates, and step-by-step directions with color photos. 

This autumn decor project (suitable for year-round display) is perfect for using up scraps and good for beginners. What makes it "sparkling?" For this tutorial I used a brand new product - HeatnBond Sparkle Paste by Jennifer Long of Sew a Story. If you are familiar with my projects, then you know that I am not necessarily a "glitter or sparkle" type of girl...but this product has changed my stance! This magical paste can be applied with a paintbrush or a palette knife to add sparkle and shine to ANY fabric or felt…and after curing, it won’t flake off. I now *need* Sparkle Paste in all 14 colors - seriously. It applies so easily and you can control exactly how much glittery shine you want. I applied the Sparkle Paste to the sunflower petals and that added shine is PERFECTION. I hope you will stop by the Therm O Web blog and check out my project and tutorial...

This is an easy, fall project that can definitely be a scrap buster...make it as planned or as scrappy as you like! It combines easy appliqué shapes on a solid background. For this post, I used HeatnBond Sparkle Paste, HeatnBond Pressing Paper, HeatnBond Lite EZ-Print Iron-On Adhesive Sheets, HeatnBond Fusible Fleece and SpraynBond Basting Adhesive Fabric Spray. Halloween Star - NEW Quilt Pattern

Greetings friends - happy Friday. This VERY early morning, I am back with another brand new quilt pattern release. Those of you who follow my blog and my Poppie Cotton Fabric Tour posts will recognize this quilt. I had a lot of messages asking for a pattern for this design...so without further ado, here is "Halloween Star!"

“Halloween Star" is machine appliqué, along with traditional piecing and assembly...and the pattern is available in both digital and paper format. It measures 25.5" x 25.5" and works perfectly for a wall hanging or table topper. The pattern contains basic machine appliqué instructions, appliqué template, and comprehensive/detailed instructions with color diagrams...AND is super quick and easy to create. This 9-page pattern is designed to use pre-cuts or scraps and small pieces of fabric...or would work great with your favorite fabric collection. This project is suitable for beginners or those wanting to dabble in appliqué....and is perfect for seasonal sewing and gift giving! It is easily adaptable to a larger size by adding borders or additional fabric squares.

The fun advantage to this quilt is you can use different fabrics for different effects - here are a few suggestions:

• Christmas fabrics for a holiday quilt
• Red, white and blue fabrics for a patriotic quilt
• Traditional fabrics for a primitive quilt
• Modern fabrics for a more abstract quilt
• Juvenile fabrics for a baby quilt

I hope to make several samples of this adaptable quilt to show off some of the options!

The cover model was created with Sweet Tooth by Amanda Cocoron for Poppie Cotton (which is new in quilt shops!) along with Jailhouse Stripes in Blondee Yellow (also from Poppie Cotton) for the binding. It uses HeatnBond Lite Iron-On Adhesive (paper backed fusible web) and HeatnBond Fusible Fleece (you could use batting, but fusible fleece makes it easier). I also added a couple hanging tabs, so I could use a wrought iron quilt hanger for display.

Twinkling Tree Farm - NEW Pattern

Greetings friends - happy Thursday! I am back today with a brand new quilt pattern release. If you read my post yesterday, then you had a sneak peek of this new holiday quilt, created with a brand new fabric collection from Poppie Cotton called "Prairie Christmas."

“Twinkling Tree Farm" is machine appliqué, along with traditional piecing and assembly. It measures 24.5" x 24.5" and works perfectly for a wall hanging or table topper. The pattern contains basic machine appliqué instructions, appliqué templates, and comprehensive/detailed instructions with color diagrams...AND is super quick and easy to create. This 12-page pattern is designed to use pre-cuts or scraps and small pieces of fabric...or would work great with your favorite fabric collection. This project is suitable for beginners or those wanting to dabble in appliqué....and is perfect for seasonal sewing and gift giving! It is easily adaptable to a larger size by adding borders or additional fabric squares.

The cover model was created with Prairie Christmas by Amanda Cocoron for Poppie Cotton along with Country Confetti (also from Poppie Cotton) for the appliqué background and binding. It uses HeatnBond Lite Iron-On Adhesive (paper backed fusible web) and HeatnBond Fusible Fleece (you could use batting, but fusible fleece makes it easier).  The stars above the large trees are cut from Wool Blend Felt from Benzie Design (Bronze). I also added a couple hanging tabs, so I could use a wrought iron quilt hanger for display.

Scrappy Shamrocks Small Quilt

Greetings friends! It is new project tutorial day - time to share my February project created for Therm O Web with you! I always enjoy putting on my Fabric Education Designer hat and creating new projects/tutorials to share with you on the Therm O Web blog. Each month, I share a new project and you give you my tips and tricks for using their wonderful line of fabric, craft, and sewing products. For the month of February, the blog is focused on quick scrappy projects, kitchen sewing, paper-piecing, and sewing for kids. I created a brand new project that was posted yesterday - it is a complete project tutorial for my "Scrappy Shamrocks" small quilt. My comprehensive tutorial contains a complete supply list, printable pattern with templates, and step-by-step directions with color photos. This is a fast and easy project, perfect for using up scraps and great for beginners. I chose to use green and white fabric scraps from my stash. You can make this quilt as small or as large as you like - simply adjust the number of 6" finished blocks you use. My finished quilt is 24" x 24" - a great size for a wall hanging or a table topper. Farmstead Finds - NEW Quilt Pattern

Greeting friends - happy Friday! I am back today with yet another new quilt pattern release...yes, my friends, I have been quite busy this week, getting more new patterns written. I want to thank you for your enthusiastic response to my latest cross stitch and quilting designs - the kind words have been very encouraging. 

This pattern has been a LONG time in the making. Those who know me well, know that I have wanted to convert many of my cross stitch designs and motifs to quilting patterns....this has been on my BRD bucket list for years! I have created a couple quilts from my cross stitch designs in the last year or two, but this is the first one I am releasing as a pattern for purchase. The special blocks in this quilt were created by converting four of my cross stitch motifs from some of my classic gameboard designs. I am calling this quilted wall hanging/throw quilt "Farmstead Finds." 

This quilt measures 42" x 42" and I added hanging pockets on the back to make it easy to display. I used a fat quarter stack of Prairie Sisters Homestead from Poppie Cotton, along with several Farmhouse Favorites (Country Confetti in Marshmallow White for the background and Country Confetti in Waffle Cone for sashing and binding...plus Gingham Picnic in Grass for the flower stems and strawberry hull)....but the pattern is written to use your favorite fabric collection. One of the reasons this pattern has been in the works for a few months is the amount of details and number of graphics I had to create - this pattern is 35-pages...yes, 35-pages of color images! Each block has step by step instructions and diagrams...and since it is all traditional quilting, I believe that even a beginner could tackle it. It is precut friendly and is great for fat quarters, charm packs and a small amount of yardage.
