Greetings friends - thanks for stopping by to visit with me today - I am happy to see you!
Before we get started, a quick housekeeping issue...if you subscribe to my blog via e-mail (and there are over 3,000 of you that do), Google Feedburner (the service that provides the automated emails when I post) announced the email subscription service will be discontinued in July 2021 - after July 1st, you will no longer receive email updates. I hope you will continue to follow my blog by visiting
https://blueribbondesigns.blogspot.com, or through your favorite RSS feed service (Feedly, NewsBlur, Bloglovin', Inoreader, etc.) or via links I post
on social media. I have been blogging for over 13 years and continue to find joy sharing my creative endeavors with you!
Back to the creative goodness - today's post is all about needlework finishing. I have a few notes regarding my finishing services, then I will share a bunch of recent finishes with you.
If you watched my latest FlossTube video, then you are aware that my client finishing bins are FULL. Currently, I am not taking on any new finishing/project bag orders - this is to give me time to catch up and focus on the current clients in my work queue. Right now, my focus is on new cross stitch and quilting/sewing patterns, along with client orders that have already been received. Once I have a chance to get caught up and catch my breath, I will take on new clients and additional orders on a very limited basis. I am grateful for all the inquires and to those of you who trust me with your incredible needlework pieces - I truly am! - but at the moment, I am overwhelmed with projects to complete. Real talk - I put a lot of pressure on myself to complete orders in a somewhat timely manner - but when I have hundreds of pieces to finish by hand (each one taking hours of time), it can take months for me to get to an order - and while I hope my work is worth the wait, I don't want to be that finisher that has a stitcher waiting for six months or longer. When I start taking new orders again, I will post here and on my website finishing page...along with my social media outlets. I am working on order criteria going forward, possibly limiting the number of items a stitcher can send, as right now some of my orders are for 20+ pieces. I have always worked in the order received and will continue to do so - but when one order can take weeks to complete, it is hard to estimate wait times. I am also finding it increasing difficult to balance in my own designs and pattern releases. Busy is a definitely a blessing (and I am extremely thankful!), but it has started to get stressful. Yes, it is a good thing I have a vacation coming up at the end of the month - I hope to return refreshed! I thank you for your finishing requests and patience...and to those of you in my current work queue, thank you for being so accommodating with the present wait time.
After reading all that, it is no surprise that I have TONS of finishing photos to share today. I have had requests to keep some of my client projects secret, but here are images that I can share with you. I will list designers/information with the images, if I have it available. Fabric shown with each piece is backing fabric. Again, these are not my designs or my stitching, just my finishing work...

Full basket of client needlework finishes.... |
I hope this plethora of needlework finishes inspires you! This is what has been keeping me busy, along with my latest Poppie Cotton fabric projects. I have had quite a bit of interest, so I will be writing patterns for my Tulip Table Runner, Cloud Nine Tea Cozy and Alphabet House Mug Rugs - I will do my best to have these patterns completed and listed before I go on vacation.
Finally - if you have watched my last FlossTube, then you know I am having a fun giveaway - I will be randomly choosing a winner soon, so if you haven't already, I hope you will watch my latest video for all the details.
That wraps it up for today - I have a lawn to mow (yes, it snowed here yesterday - that has melted and the lawn is ready to be mowed again), a pile of ornaments to get finished for a client, and a cross stitch model to finish (for an upcoming BRD cross stitch release)…plus a pile of paperwork to tackle. Thanks for stopping by - I hope to see you again soon!
All of those finishes are so beautiful.
